While countless voices keep telling us that Russia is preparing to invade Europe, a U.S. general, Alexus G. Grynkewich, asserts exactly the opposite. This officer is far from unknown, as he is the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR)—NATO’s highest-ranking military official—based at SHAPE in Casteau.

During a panel discussion held on the sidelines of an air show in Berlin on June 11, Grynkewich stated verbatim that, based on the intelligence at his disposal, “Russia is not looking for conflict” with NATO because “they (the Russians) understand that we (NATO) have a series of asymmetric advantages” and that “they will not take the risk of doing something like that.”

Contrary to the alarmist and warmongering statements made by many generals, (anonymous) intelligence officials, experts of all stripes, and politicians—which have been widely echoed by the mainstream media—such statements may be intended to reassure European warmongers in the face of the slight reduction in U.S. troops stationed in Europe.

What is certain, however, is that these remarks were ignored by the vast majority of major Western media outlets; only the British newspaper Financial Times dared to defy the prevailing climate of censorship.
