In "The Secret History of the War in Ukraine" the New York Times reconstructs in significant detail that the United States, during the Biden Administration, not only supplied Ukraine with huge quantities of armaments to the tune of some $70 billion, but planned and directed Ukrainian military operations against Russia from the U.S. Army''s European headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany. As to whether the war was planned and directed by the United States and NATO under their command, we have demonstrated it from the outset on Grandangolo on the basis of precise facts. On the same basis, we warned against the facile optimism that the Trump Administration would quickly put an end to the war with a direct agreement between Presidents Trump and Putin and, in opposition to the European Allies, withdraw from NATO operations against Russia or even from NATO itself. 

What the Trump Administration''s position is was clarified by Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the meeting of NATO foreign ministers, held in Brussels, for the "construction of a stronger, more shared and more lethal NATO". The Secretary of State declared: "The United States is as active in NATO as it has ever been. And some of the hysteria and hyperbole I see in the global media about NATO is unjustified. President Trump has made it clear that he supports NATO. We will remain in NATO, but we want NATO to be stronger. The events of recent years - a large-scale ground war in the heart of Europe - remind us that hard power is still needed as a deterrent. So we want to leave these meetings with the knowledge that every single member is committed to keeping its promise to achieve military spending equivalent to 5% of GDP. The United States will also have to increase its percentage. Because if the threats are really as serious as I believe they are, and as the members of this Alliance believe they are, then that threat must be met with full and real commitment. President Trump is not against NATO. He is against a NATO that lacks the capacity to fulfill the obligations that the Treaty imposes on every member state. This is a hard but fundamental truth that must be told now if we are to build a NATO that has the capacity to defend the territories of our national states and deter any aggressive action against one of us."

The Brussels meeting was attended in partner costume even by Ukraine''s foreign minister, to whom NATO foreign ministers, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, guaranteed further military support. Completely ignored is the fact, denounced by Moscow, that Kiev continues to attack Russian energy infrastructures in violation of the agreement with Trump, which Russia on the other hand, observes by not attacking those of Ukraine.

While he continues to postpone the promised meeting with President Putin, President Trump is on schedule to go to the Middle East, where the United States is strengthening its military presence, preparing with Israel to attack Iran, a BRICS country with which Russia is on the verge of concluding a strategic agreement as well. What the West''s strategy is was stated by NATO''s Secretary General at the meeting of foreign ministers attended by the US Secretary of State: "Russia is our long-term threat, but so are the growing problems with China, North Korea and Iran. These four countries are increasingly linked, and these two theaters of operation are increasingly connected and intertwined". The theme is amply covered by a group of analysts who, on the Wall Street Journal, explain how "China, Russia, Iran and North Korea have united in a new axis, CRINK, which is working against America to defy Western sanctions and undermine U.S. interests".
